Landon Bailey is an experienced, results-oriented practitioner who frequently appears before state and federal courts throughout California, including both trial and appellate courts. Widely recognized as one of the Sacramento area’s top litigators, Landon has been repeatedly selected as a “Best of the Bar” honoree by his peers, as recognized in the Sacramento Business Journal. Landon has also been selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer for several years in a row, acknowledging him as one the top business litigators in Northern California.
Landon’s litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, corporate governance matters, shareholder and business partnership disputes, contracts, business torts and unfair competition laws, and copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters. Landon also serves as outside general counsel for multiple small and mid-sized companies, with an emphasis on counseling emerging businesses in the technology industry, and frequently serves as local counsel for out-of-state businesses due to his extensive experience with state and federal courts in Sacramento, and throughout California.
Landon’s practice also focuses on California’s Proposition 65. Landon represents manufacturers, retailers, and other businesses in supply chains when they are served with Proposition 65 Notices of Violation. Landon also defends companies against Proposition 65 enforcement litigation brought by private Proposition 65 enforcement attorneys on behalf of citizens and private organizations in California. Landon counsels companies throughout the United States, as well as international business organizations, on Proposition 65 compliance matters. He assists businesses of all sizes in formulating, updating, and strengthening their Proposition 65 compliance programs to mitigate litigation risk in California in light of frequently changing regulations and requirements. While many experienced Proposition 65 practitioners in California practice at large firms and charge very high hourly rates, Landon is one of the few Proposition 65 defense attorneys in California with a smaller practice, enabling him to effectively manage his overhead costs and pass the savings to his Proposition 65 clients.
Landon is active and well-known in the greater Sacramento legal community.
